While Dell's introduction with the world's first gaming netbook around the recent CES or Electronic devices Show in Las Vegas wasn't necessarily ab muscles show stopper, the Alienware M11x did turn plenty of heads, especially among all the gaming crowd. Having a minute compact four pound gaming netbook using an 11 inch display goes against everything with gaming laptops, since a good number of gaming notebooks are large, large and try to pack everything inside of the hood that a decent Gaming Desktop computer would possess. Big emphasis on try.
But a gaming netbook goes completely inside the other direction, what's up one of the keys?
Well, actually there's plenty to notice about this kind of sleek powerful little device considering it comes from Alienware, the premier maker of gaming machines on earth. While many serious gamers swear certainly not a PC for gaming may be a foolish idea; most would agree if you need to lower yourself to which has a gaming laptop - it might be one made by just Alienware. In other sayings, Alienware and computer gaming are becoming synonymous in the hearts and minds of all gamers.
In our escalating demand for everything portable, perhaps a gaming netbook is the next illogical action! Make it small, make it powerful and they will come. Right?
Not which means that fast.
The jury remains out on this gaming netbook designed to hit the marketplace throughout February and sell for under $1000. Which is even so expensive, considering many quality netbooks come in the $200 to $400 selection. Will gamers snap upward this portable gamer so that you can have their games at their side, no matter where each goes? Judging by the reputation of such devices when the Nintendo DS, the answer might be a solid yes.
Improving those it’s likely that the rather impressive specs featured in the Alienware M11x which sports a very high Definition 11 inch display along with GT335M GPU from NVIDIA. Its capable of playing this type of popular games as Phone call of Duty (Modern Emulation 2) at 30 frames-per-second which includes a 1336 x 768 optimum resolution. Alienware is claiming possibly higher frames rates with benchmarks of approximately 60 fps, even perfect for reaching 90 fps. Battery life (as advertised by Alienware) stands at 2 or 3 hours for gaming, or higher to 6 or 7 time for general use.
The M11x also sports other impressive specs for a very small machine: built-in Wi-Fi plus webcam, multiple USB jacks, HDMI-output, SD card reader including a built-in SIM card reader that'll allow users to benefit from their cellphone SIM card and acquire Internet services. Also, the M11x has the NVIDIA GPU and a chipset - you can switch towards less demanding graphics when not gaming to save battery life.
Of course, the M11x has many of the styling and features believe expect from an Alienware game laptop, like those seen to the powerful M17x and M15x. With jet-black looks in addition to multi-zone LED illumination to the keyboard, alien logo, speakers et cetera... the M11x will definitely shine when comparing netbooks. In the self-absorbed world, looks do count but what's in the hood will be on most interest to gamers who desires a small portable device for a gaming.
Alienware, as with yet, is not giving gamers the full-monty of what's in that system but full details may come when this gaming netbook is unleashed towards public. But dedicated gamers who really need their gaming available regularly, no matter where they can be, probably won't be disappointed together with the Alienware M11x, the tallest 3g base station first gaming netbook.
